Website: self-manage by strikingly simple

VOX was established as a “forum” to draw together a diverse range of individuals and groups already engaged in valuing the experience of older people, within the Church and the community from towns and cities across the UK.

The aim of VOX is not to compete with the organisations that sponsor this website, but we hope to complement and celebrate the existing work that is carried out across the UK in valuing the experience of older people.  Through VOX we hope to provide a focal point that will enable the voice of the organisations involved, to extend their sphere of influence in order that we can help to create “A world that reflects God’s view of growing older”.

Our role is to become a voice which will present views to the Church and government regionally and nationally that will benefit an increasingly ageing society.  Each of the partners involved in VOX has a different sphere of influence and these are outlined in the About Us page.  It is our hope that we will envision Christians to be a challenging voice demonstrating the love of Jesus towards older people and though the facilitation of conferences, workshops, lectures and articles equip the Church to be that voice.

We hope that through the Focus page, we can highlight issues, current research, government papers and relevant information that will encourage us all to value older experience and inspire us to continually communicate the value of an "invisible" generation, both within the Church and our own communities.
